- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆Won't be back. Staff friendly. Price was affordable. Certainly not a 4 star hotel as claimed. Housekeeping was a major fail with not enough towels supplied for two guests. The floor mat had holes in it - one would think if you were proclaiming to be 4 star you would have standards in place for this. Shower was dirty - it had someone else's hair on the floor. The mini bar fridge was iced over and then defrosting during the night so you could hear the ice cracking and then water dripping on the bottles. Everything was soggy in the morning. This is something that would have been noticed when the mini bar fridge was being stocked/checked. The worst part - the breakfast. Continental breakfast was included in my fee - that would have got me two slices of white toast or some yoghurt and cheap nasty coffee from a cappuccino machine that spurted out extra hot water instead of frothy hot milk. I was offered the hot breakfast for an additional $10. I initially accepted this but then demanded they didn't charge me as I could not eat the food for fear of food poisoning. Everything was stone cold. I told the wait staff and she said she would get some hot food. All that happened was the heat was turned up on the Bain Maries so the cooked food which has gone cold was slowly rewarmed, and any new hot eggs brought were simply plonked on top of the cold ones. The eggs were the worst, they were poached and presented floating in scummy, murky, bubbly looking water. I think it would have been ok if the water was hot but given everything was cold I could only think of salmonella. The pastries ran out half way into breakfast. Yep I missed out on those, god forbid you turn up to breakfast at 8am on a Sunday. The bread and fruit were never replenished. I was extremely pissed off and cranky by the time I finished my slice of toast and dirty coffee. There was some major health food violations going on here. I made mention of house keeping and breakfast to the receptionist. She was very lovely and extremely apologetic. She said she would get the manager to call me the next day, I assured her it wasn't necessary and she insisted. I saw her write the comment to call me on the paperwork and place it in a tray. That was 4 weeks ago and naturally I've heard nothing. For the same price you get ten times better room service and 100% better breakfast around the corner at Ibis Styles. I just wanted to try somewhere different- won't be making that mistake again.By Michelle S, April 02, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆Staff is great and prices are reasonable. Stay away from the breakfast which you could do much better elsewhere. The free breakfast means only cereal and some basics, $10 per head for "hot food" if you want it. Bathrooms are small and walls are thin.By Gaurav Bhatia, October 25, 2016
